how we work

From first call to live in production

The process, the pricing, and the principles. Read this before the call so we can spend our time on your project, not on how we work.

The process

Every project we ship follows roughly this shape. We adjust the edges for context (a 2-week landing page doesn't need a 5-step scoping doc), but the spine is constant.

1. Discovery call (30 min, free)

We jump on a call to understand what you're trying to build, what's already in place, and what success looks like. No pitch deck, no sales call. Just engineers asking the questions we'd want answers to before scoping.

A clear shared understanding of the project and rough viability.

2. Scoping document (3-5 days)

We turn the conversation into a written proposal with milestones, deliverables, tech-stack rationale, timeline, and a fixed or T&M estimate. If we're not the right fit, this is where we'll tell you and recommend someone who is.

A fixed-scope proposal you can take to your stakeholders.

3. Build sprints with weekly demos

Once you sign, we start sprints. You get a working demo every Friday: not screenshots, a real URL you can click. We use Slack/Discord for day-to-day chat, GitHub PRs for code review, and a shared project board so you can see what's in flight at any time.

Working software every week, never a black box.

4. Production launch

We handle infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring, error tracking, security review, and a soft launch with your real users. By the time we hand over, the system has logs, alerts, dashboards, and runbooks. Not just code.

A production system you can hand to your own team without us in the loop.

5. Ongoing support (optional)

Most clients keep us on a small monthly retainer for bug fixes, feature work, and on-call escalation. You can also stop after launch: the codebase is yours, well-documented, and built so any competent engineer can pick it up.

A long-term partnership if you want it, a clean handoff if you don't.

Engagement model & typical pricing

These are realistic ranges, not anchoring tricks. They help you know early whether we're in your budget. If we're not, we'd rather you spend 30 seconds reading this than 30 minutes on a discovery call.

Small projects

Under $5K

1-3 weeks

Landing pages, internal tools, Chrome extensions, prototypes, focused integrations.

Standard projects

$10K to $30K

1-3 months

Most client projects land here. SaaS MVPs, API integrations, dashboards, mid-complexity web/mobile apps.

Larger builds

$50K+

3-6 months

Multi-month SaaS builds, AI integration projects, platform rewrites, multi-tenant systems.

Retainer / staff aug

$2K to $20K / mo

Monthly

Ongoing dev capacity for a client team. Sized from part-time support up to a 2-3 engineer pod, monthly billing, easy to scale up or down.

All prices in USD. Quoted before tax. We invoice on milestone completion for fixed-price work, weekly for T&M, and monthly in advance for retainers.

What you can count on

We sign NDAs and DPAs without negotiating

Yours, ours, your lawyer's preferred template. Whatever you need. Confidentiality and data-processing terms are table stakes for the work we do.

We reply within 24 hours, business days

Faster during active sprints. If something needs urgent attention, you'll have a direct line to the founder, not a ticket queue.

We don't bait-and-switch with juniors

The engineers you meet on the discovery call are the engineers writing your code. We're a small team and we keep it that way deliberately.

You own the code and the IP

All code and IP belong to you from day one: work happens in repositories you control, and full handover, including infrastructure access, is part of every project.

Common questions

Do you work fixed-price or hourly?

Both. Most well-scoped projects we quote fixed-price after scoping. Open-ended or rapidly-evolving work we do T&M at agreed rates. We don't trick clients with scope creep on fixed-price work. If the requirements change materially, we re-scope honestly.

Where are you located? Do you do timezone overlap?

Core team is in Pakistan with delivery for clients in the US, EU, UK, and APAC. We schedule overlap windows that match your timezone: typically 4 to 6 hours of overlap per business day. Async-first by default, sync where it matters.

Who owns the code?

You do. All code and IP belong to you from day one. Work happens in repositories you control, and full handover (including infrastructure access) is part of every project. There's no proprietary KSPR framework you'd be locked into.

Can I see the code as it's being written?

Yes. You'll have GitHub access from the first commit. PRs are reviewed in your repo, not a private one.

What if the project doesn't work out?

Two-week notice both ways for retainers. Fixed-price projects bill by milestone: if we hit a wall we tell you, refund the unstarted milestones, and help you transition. We'd rather end a project well than push through one that isn't a fit.

Do you do design too, or just engineering?

We design when the project needs it (most do). We work with your designers when you have them. We're engineers first. Our design output is functional and clean, not award-winning.

Will you work with our existing team?

Yes. About half our work is augmenting in-house teams. We slot in as a sprint pod, do code review on internal PRs, and help your team ship faster without replacing anyone.

Ready to start the call?

Tell us what you're building. We'll get back within 24 hours with whether we can help and a rough sense of scope.
