Markdown to PDF Converter
Upload a .md file or type your Markdown below. Preview in real time on the right, then download as a polished PDF.
Need something editable instead? Markdown to Word turns the same Markdown into a real .docx — and that one converts in your browser, so the document is never uploaded.

Q1 2026 Engineering Report
Author: Engineering Team · Date: May 2026 · Status: Final
A live demo of the KSPR Markdown → PDF converter. Every feature below renders both in this preview and in the downloaded PDF, in light or dark theme, with searchable vector text.
Executive Summary
We shipped three major platform changes this quarter and reduced infrastructure cost by 28%.
- 🚀 Rolled out the v2 API across all regions
- ✅ Cut p99 latency from 480 ms to 210 ms
- 📈 Free-tier signups grew +38% MoM
This document is a feature-complete sample. Edit any section to see live preview, then download as PDF in light or dark theme.

Architecture Change
We replaced the monolithic ingestion service with a queue-driven worker pool:

Code
The new validator uses a Zod schema with type-safe inference:
import { z } from "zod";
export const EventSchema = z.object({
id: z.string().uuid(),
type: z.enum(["page_view", "click", "purchase"]),
userId: z.string().optional(),
timestamp: z.coerce.date(),
payload: z.record(z.unknown()),
});
export type Event = z.infer<typeof EventSchema>;
export async function ingest(raw: unknown): Promise<Event> {
const parsed = EventSchema.safeParse(raw);
if (!parsed.success) throw new ValidationError(parsed.error.flatten());
await queue.enqueue(parsed.data);
return parsed.data;
}
# Python client used by internal services
import httpx
async def send_event(payload: dict) -> None:
async with httpx.AsyncClient(timeout=5.0) as client:
r = await client.post("https://api.kspr.tech/v2/events", json=payload)
r.raise_for_status()
Math & Science
The cost model:
For throughput projection we used the M/M/n queue formula:
Chemistry (mhchem):
Q2 Priorities
The list below is binding for Q2. Re-prioritization requires CTO approval.
- Multi-tenant isolation: finish row-level security migration
- Observability: adopt OpenTelemetry across all services
- Cost governance: quarterly review with finance
The audit-logging deadline is hard. SOC 2 Type II requires it before Q3 close.
What’s working
- Queue-based ingestion
- Multi-region cache
- Type-safe validation
Still rough
- Cold-start latency on Lambda
- Dashboard alerting noise
- Stale docs in
legacy/
Glossary
- OLTP
- Online transaction processing. High-volume, low-latency operations like point lookups and small writes.
- OLAP
- Online analytical processing. Complex aggregations over large data, typically on columnar stores.
- p99 latency
- The latency value below which 99% of requests fall. A practical upper bound for user experience.
Task List
Footnotes
We use a custom rate-limiter[1] in front of every public endpoint, and per-tenant queues[2] in the worker pool.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert Markdown to PDF?
Paste your Markdown content into the editor on the left, or upload a .md file using the upload area above. The right panel shows a live preview. Click "Download PDF", optionally name your file, and save the formatted document.
Is this Markdown to PDF converter free?
Yes, completely free. No signup, no limits, and no watermarks are added to your documents.
What Markdown features are supported?
We support the full GitHub Flavored Markdown (GFM) spec: headings, bold, italic, strikethrough, links, images, fenced code blocks, tables with alignment, nested lists, task lists, nested blockquotes, horizontal rules, inline HTML (<mark>, <kbd>, <dl>, <details>, etc.), Mermaid diagrams (flowcharts, sequence diagrams, and more), and LaTeX math equations (inline and block) powered by KaTeX.
Can I export as a single page without page breaks?
Yes. Toggle the "Single page" switch in the preview toolbar before downloading. Your entire document will be exported as one continuous page, perfect for long README files or documentation.
Does it support LaTeX math equations?
Yes. Use $...$ for inline math (like $E=mc^2$) and $$...$$ for block equations. We render everything via KaTeX including integrals, summations, matrices, Greek letters, and more.
Can I render Mermaid diagrams?
Yes. Write Mermaid syntax inside a fenced code block tagged with "mermaid" and the diagram will render live in the preview and be included in the downloaded PDF.
Can I choose a custom PDF file name?
Yes. When you click Download PDF, a dialog lets you enter a custom name. Leave it blank to use the default name or the uploaded file's name.
Can I get a Word document instead of a PDF?
Yes, with the sibling tool. Markdown to Word takes the same Markdown and writes a real .docx with Word heading styles, tables, and footnotes, so the result stays editable. It converts in your browser and never uploads the document. Choose PDF when the layout has to stay put; choose Word when someone needs to edit it.
Is my data safe?
The live preview and auto-save run entirely in your browser — as you type, nothing is sent anywhere. When you click Download PDF, your Markdown is sent over HTTPS to our server to render the PDF, then discarded; we don't store it. Auto-save keeps a copy in your browser's local storage so you never lose progress (use Clear to remove it, especially on a shared computer).
